Good Luck today to Arsenal Fans

I still don’t know what type of lineup Roy Hodgson is going to put out there today.

Starting Lineups

These are the starting lineups according to the Telegraph.

Fulham are resting many players.

Fulham: Schwarzer, Pantsil, Baird, Smalling, Shorey, Riise, Greening, Dikgacoi, Dempsey, Nevland, and Okaka

Arsenal: Fabianski, Sagna, Campbell , Silvestre, Clichy, Eboue, Diaby, Walcott, Nasri, Arshavin, and van Persie

by Russ Goldman on May 9, 2010 10:43 AM EDT reply actions

van Persie

I think he intended for that free kick to do that.

by Ted Harwood on May 9, 2010 11:10 AM EDT reply actions

Anyone got a good stream?

I’m not finding one right now…

by Scrupio on May 9, 2010 11:13 AM EDT reply actions

GOAL

Arshavin. Robbed Schwarzer…should’ve really passed to van Persie at any point. But he scored, so hey.

by Ted Harwood on May 9, 2010 11:21 AM EDT reply actions

GOAL van Persie

Walcott squares to van Persie for a shot which Schwarzer turns onto the bar, but the rebound is an easy tap-in for van P.

by Ted Harwood on May 9, 2010 11:27 AM EDT reply actions

GOAL Baird OG

Unlucky, but Arsenal were threatening to score for a bit there.

by Ted Harwood on May 9, 2010 11:38 AM EDT reply actions

Holy smokes

That was some serious buildup. Walcott misses. But the passing…hott.

by Ted Harwood on May 9, 2010 11:40 AM EDT reply actions

I think it's that...

…and Fulham just look like they’re thinking about midweek already. Arsenal are playing much better, though.

by Ted Harwood on May 9, 2010 11:47 AM EDT up reply actions

Penalty, surely

Despite what the commentators are saying, there was contact on Eboue there.

by Ted Harwood on May 9, 2010 12:27 PM EDT reply actions

I'd like to see some subs here

I’d like to see Lansbury and maybe Eastmond come in here, just to give them some time.

by Ted Harwood on May 9, 2010 12:35 PM EDT reply actions

oh, fine

Vela and Lansbury, then, for Arshavin and Walcott.

by Ted Harwood on May 9, 2010 12:36 PM EDT up reply actions

Well it's Chelsea's title

I don’t think Wigan are going to claw back 6 goals

by Scrupio on May 9, 2010 12:35 PM EDT reply actions

Lansbury

great ball for van Persie there.

Happy St. Tottergingham's day, everyone

Burnley doing their part to make it as rough as possible a day for the Sp*rs.

Fantastic day

We actually showed a willingness to get the job done. Fulham were playing with less than 100% commitment but I don’t blame them. Good luck to them in the Europa League final, I hope they can do it.

Always one of the best days of there

Shame it came so late this season. Good performance in admittedly simple circumstances. Hate to see Chelski run so rampant, hopefully it will delude them in to thinking they don’t need to freshen up their aging squad so much.

I think that soccernet report is a bunch of garbage

They may end up with him, but nobody else has reported that or quoted a source yet.

Reyes, Thole, Wright, Beltran, Bay, Davis, Martinez, Tejada...

Agreed

Players who I thought played well:
van Persie-MotM
Walcott
Clichy
Nasri

Players who could have done better:
Arshavin- disappeared after his goal
Eboue- needs to shake that diving mentality
Fabianski- not really busy but didn’t look comfortable

Congratulations to Arsenal fans.

I am hopeful this loss does not affect us Wednesday.

In regards to Arsenal, I don’t care what the experts criticize Arseanl for. I love the way the team plays and you have a legitimate shot to win the title next year.

I am making that prediction now. There will be many changes made to all contenders, but as long as Wenger keeps you core players and adds to it I think you will contend.

by Russ Goldman on May 9, 2010 1:41 PM EDT reply actions

Thanks, Russ.

Good luck on Wednesday. I think you guys will win it, and that will be a huge thing for the EPL and for Fulham, obviously.

by Ted Harwood on May 9, 2010 1:42 PM EDT up reply actions

Thanks as well

I’ll be rooting hard for the Cottagers on Wednesday, best of luck.

Thanks, I appreciate everyone's support.

Like I mentioned prior I think next year will be Arsenal’s year. You have so much skill. Your club in my opinion is on the “way up”. Other teams that are contending are starting to get older. That is a big reason why I feel Arsenal’s future is bright.

I am sick and tired of hearing how young Arsenal are. At some point it will be your time. I think it might be next year.
