Cesc and "The Decision"
First, I am new to the site. Thanks for having me and I look forward to joining the discussions.
Second is a question directed to the board: Would Arsenal be better off moving Cesc to Barca? My thought is not that Cesc is easily replaceable -- he certainly isn't -- but is the distraction of all the transfer talk going to take its toll on him? Would we be better off getting money that can be used for other purchased, and possibly a player in trade from Barca, than "forcing" him to stay in London?
Interested in everyone's thoughts.

I think the whole idea
of “distraction” and “alienation” of Cesc from Arsenal and its supporters is a complete and total fabrication of the media. He may indeed want to go to Barca at some point in his life, but he is obviously loyal to the Gunners. The same transfer rumor mill was cranking last summer, though maybe not quite at this speed.
I think if Cesc was distracted by Barcelona, and he’s somehow not going all out for Arsenal, then there’s no way in hell he breaks his leg going for that ball against Puyol and then nails the penalty in the Champions League quarters.
I can’t ignore all the stories either. But what I do is skip all the journalists’s garbage speculation and read only what’s in the quotes. Cesc has never said anything any good person wouldn’t.

I agree with HRD
I think he’s too young, too hungry, and too competitive a person to let it affect his play. I think no matter what kit he’s wearing, he will always give 100% to win.
BlueBulldog, your line of reasoning is the trap
that Barcelona wants Arsenal to fall into. Hence the neverending train of bullshit that comes from their players and fans.
I still think it's in Cesc's best interest to stay with us at least another season or two
That’s until an obvious spot in Barca’s midfield is opened up for him. I mean he must use his head whenever a transfer may occur. But no matter what, he’ll lose the title of being “the guy” if he leaves and going to being just another great player among others.
But from the fan point of view, I hope he stays for all time.
