Arsenal 1 AC Milan 1

Please add your reactions so we all can get a good take on the Gunners

Star-divide

I caught the game in the second half.

Goals- Chamakh goal I did not see live but nice to see him produce on the field. Arsavin set Chamakh up.

Injury- Now the second half which Johan Djourou came in the 70th minute which was nice to see. Rosicky also played the first halve which was nice to hear. Vermaelen did a head butt with an AC Milan player that got him confused for 2 mins but was fine.

Goal Chances- Randall, had his chances with an in the box look and the keeper saved it.  Then Randall got a second chance opportunity that went straight to the keeper again. Vela dribbled passed 3 defenders in a stylsh way that made everyone in the stands, (stand, clap and not play a vuvuzela) Vela missed the upper 90 by a few inches.

The Positives- Arsenal was always getting crosses in and coming down the pitch. Chamakh maybe the best pick up this offseason.

The Negative- Holes on D with AC Milans cross from a Sagna Foul. Arsenal needs to tighten up the D quickly or it will be a long year.

I'm excited to see what they will do against Celtic.

Yea sorry I will go through it, I got busy.

Chamakh, I didnt see too much because he was taken out around the 70th minute. What I liked he was always in the box given the D trouble. He made nice runs off the ball to get open. His ball moving skills are fun to watch. When he played today he made me glad to deal with the lag on my computer screen.

Koscielny was very impressive, I thought

Definitely liked our performance

Obviously we have holes in our D and we had a problem finishing but I don’t think it will be a big deal going into the season. Arsene said he was looking for defenders to fill up the void left by Gallas and Silvestre. As far as finishing goes once RVP and Cesc are back that shouldn’t be a big problem.

Randall showed that he isn’t quite ready for top team play by blowing such a great chance. All he had to do was pop the ball up in the air a little bit on that second go and it would have been in.

Fabianski was a little better than usual. He made a solid save in the first half and a great catch off a cross in the second. Still don’t want to see him start the season though.

Vela showed some great skill the shot itself was lacking but the set up was fantastic.

Walcott and Nasri performed like their usual good selves.

Chamakh had a good first game. Even besides the goal he was a constant source of worry for the Milan defense by hanging around in dangerous areas the whole match even if he didn’t get too many more opportunities. If RVP is still out vs Liverpool I’d like to see an Arshavin-Chamakh-Walcott top 3 to start us out.
