Bit more trouble in the Arsenal area

Vermaelen loses out after a weird deflection, eventually out for a goal kick

1-0 Legia

Cabral. From 25. Nobody closed him down. Poor from Arsenal; they are being pressed out of the match at the moment.

Good run from Nasri

cuts inside then back out, gets smothered at the end.

by Ted Harwood on Aug 7, 2010 11:28 AM EDT reply actions

Better from Arsenal

sustaining possession now, Sagna crosses, keeper claims.

2-0 Legia.

Off a corner. Fabianski gets nothing on it after tripping over Vermaelen’s leg, it goes in off of Koscielny’s leg. Wait, are we playing Blackburn?

by Ted Harwood on Aug 7, 2010 11:39 AM EDT reply actions

3-0.

off another corner. Short corner, crossed from deep, headed to their striker, rifled into the roof of the net. bad.

Legia 3 - 1 Arsenal

not a good show from Arsenal to start. Legia pressing them hard and fast in the midfield, which may be beneficial in the long run. Arsenal have to get used to a higher tempo and physical pressing again, the sooner the better.

At least the crapness in defending has come now

We need a CB and a GK.
Fabianski is a joke

I hope Arsene is watching closely

and nobody else is, so they don’t know how desperate we are.

Our midfielders look tired

but they need to help press and defend better than they have been.

by Ted Harwood on Aug 7, 2010 12:04 PM EDT reply actions

3-4 GIBBS

he crushed that into the top. Arsenal rampant.

by Ted Harwood on Aug 7, 2010 12:27 PM EDT reply actions

Yea how they came back

I love the fact they didn’t give up. Thats what I was implying. I wouldnt care who was out there if they did the same as what arsenal just did.

Yeah.

one thing I like about having Eboue (and Gibbs) in the mix is they have more defensive tenacity, it seems, than our other midfielders. However, I think Legia also are tiring…

As Robson mentioned,

Koscielny needs to cover there, rather than push for offside.

Also,

apologies for butchering the Legia striker’s name. He doesn’t deserve that from me. Polish is difficult.

4-6 Nasri

Free kick past side of wall, keeper completely poops it up. It was a hard shot, though.

by Ted Harwood on Aug 7, 2010 12:46 PM EDT reply actions

Samir Nasri is really really good

And fresh. I don’t see how he can be left out of the starting XI. Midfield puzzle gets trickier.

by Ted Harwood on Aug 7, 2010 12:47 PM EDT reply actions

Yea

if we play the 4-3-3 it will be song diaby and fabregas. that is a tough coice.

by PSUkegreen on Aug 7, 2010 12:56 PM EDT up reply actions

he may start on the wing

but I doubt it? Diaby’s still out, and Song hasn’t played yet either, so there’s probably room right now…

lol yeah

my feed just lost there picture of the game.

same

Was the 91st minute though, so surely it ended 8-7.

the feed

The ATVO feed has disintegrated into color bars and an ad at the same time, in a free-form, multimedia interpretation of the match.

Arsenal do play avant-garde soccer

but this is ridiculous.
