Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri injures hamstring; out "three weeks"
Samir Nasri sustained a hamstring injury today in Arsenal's FA Cup match against Huddersfield while chasing a punt from goalkeeper Manuel Almunia. He pulled up limping and went to ground, and manager Arsène Wenger immediately replaced him with Tomas Rosicky.
Wenger's outlook on the injury after the match was grim. When asked by the press about Nasri's injury, Wenger said "it looks to be a serious hamstring injury", and that he would miss "three weeks".
Nasri, of course, has been at the center of much of Arsenal's success this year, scoring fabulous goals against Fulham and Manchester City. He is scoring goals at a tremendous rate and providing smooth passing interchanges with Cesc Fabregas, Robin van Persie, and Theo Walcott in Arsenal's best attacking four. His loss will have a big impact on Arsenal's next few weeks, where they have matches against Everton, Newcastle, Wolverhampton, and Barcelona.
Nasri's injury is the latest in a long line of muscle problems for Arsenal players over the past few years. Cesc Fabregas injured his hamstring in a game against Sunderland in September, and missed a month.

That really sucks.
Hopefully he really is only gone for 3 weeks. If he’s out a lot longer it could be our season ender.
Andrei if there was ever a time to step it up it is now.
Not to be all pessimistic but
Vermaelen was supposed to be a few weeks too at one point. Now they don’t know what’s wrong with him for sure. I just hope it’s not another one of those. We seem to be prone. I’m just hoping Ban Persie doesn’t get his annual 2/3 season injury. I’ve become jaded by our injury history if you can’t tell.
If you work for a living, why do you kill yourself working?
achilles are different from hamstrings though
achilles have poor blood flow, and it’s tough to see the tendon amid the ligament.
Hammys are easy
Squeezed to Song and Bendtner and Song and Nasri oh lovely lovely lovely!
-Peter Drury, the one time his commentating has ever been acceptable.

Achilles are definitely a whole different game.
We still don’t know squat about the Achilles while we are pretty well versed with how Hammys work since they are a common injury to athletes.
The thing that worries me most is that he went down without contact. Those types of injuries are always the worst.
I don't feel confident
that either Rosicky (just back from injury) or Arshavin (general crapness) can replace Nasri.
If anything, maybe Bendtner on the left.

Replacement?
I think Arshavin deserves a shot. He played much better today, and I’d rather him than Rosicky on the left.

In brighter news
Fulham up 2-0 and Spurs a man down just 15 minutes in.
THAT'S RIGHT, Kenny Wheaton you did. You cut back into GREATNESS.
UGH!
Not only has he been the player of the year to this point, but with the cup runs continuing and a few more loans, the depth isn’t quite where it could be. And I think we’ve all heard “3 weeks” before… gulp.
