FUSILLADE: an Arsenal podcast for your ears
You know how a lot of blogs have podcasts that supplement the textual content they produce with some sweet, sweet audio content? And you know how to this point, The Short Fuse hadn't been one of them? NO MORE. From this day forth, there shall be a podcast known as "Fusillade," and it shall be the audio arm of the Short Fuse empire forevermore.
Anyway, yeah. We've started a podcast. Obviously there are going to be a lot of kinks to work out, as the thing is brand new and I don't believe that any of us have done a podcast before, aside from guest appearances. But we have a vision, and that vision will be realized.
There's a part for you all to play as well. The comments section is probably the most important part of this blog to me, because the thing I enjoy most about the Internet is the fact that it can create new communities that are independent of physical location. I'd like to think that we have a good community here, and because of that I wanted to be able to involve everyone in the podcast much as we do with the text posts here. So I've made an email address for the podcast, which is fusilladecast(AT)gmail(DOT)com, and one of the regular features will be the answering of questions sent in by listeners (you) by the hosts (us). If you like you can also send them to us via Twitter; just make sure you specify that it's intended for podcast discussion.
Aside from that, just keep your eyes peeled for further Fusillade nuggets. The plan at the moment is to release it on Mondays, but that may change for reasons as of yet unforeseen. We're all quite excited about expanding our content and tightening our vicegrip on American coverage of Arsenal, and hopefully you are as excited to be able to hear what we all sound like. I, for one, have an interesting voice, so there's that to look forward to.
So, the episode! As I said, this is the pilot, so it's only sort of the first episode. Ted and PDB aren't in it, and we don't have a few of the segments fully ready yet, so this is Episode Zero rather than one. Also the introduction isn't totally done; I think everyone will enjoy it when it is, though. I should mention this: we didn't want to have generic podcast music as the intro/outro music (as most of it sounds like it belongs in a dirty movie), so I contacted my friends in the band Mid-American and they were kind enough to let us use their song All Is Gone. They can be found on Bandcamp, Twitter, and MySpace, among other places, and they're honestly quite good. If you like the 30-seconds that are in the podcast, check them out.
Fusillade 0: Untitled Pilot (yeah, we're working on the iTunes stuff and such.)

Lot's of inside jokes,
obscure player references, and thick, thick british accents.
Captain, there are doubt''s...
Great, so now I can actually speak and leave no doubt to the fact that I know nothing about soccer.
Maybe I’ll just listen.
Alex Song - Krunk as Fuck!
I just re-did the intro and made it about 200% more awesome.
Maybe I should have waited to post it? PODCAST IN CRISIS

Aiden sounds like he has a partial British accent.
Is he an American in England or a Brit living here in the USA?

To clarify
I was born here, and have lived here basically my whole life. My father, however, was born in England, and came over here before I was born, and thus, I developed a bit of an accent that subconsciously comes out when I talk about football (I’m not trying to be presumptuous or anything)

Sorry Fusillade, but we all know Wenger's thinking. He'll pick the Golden Corral to start before he ever hands you some minutes.
SBN Bloglist:
The Short Fuse (Arsenal, EPL)
Sactown Royalty (Kings, NBA)
Thanks!

Yes, Kudos to Tom and Aidan
What do you guys see as the usual length of the pod? Some I listen to go from a half hour to “OMG when will this end?!?”
Usually we'll probably shoot for somewhere from 50-70 minutes
I’ll try to make sure they don’t get too long. I actually edited about 15-20 minutes out of this one, which is harder than you would think.

To which you did a good job
I could hardly tell at most places, which I think is good, seeing as I kind of remembered what was next.
