Arsenal reveal statues to Chapman, Adams, and Henry
Apparently the crowd at the event was yelling for Wenger to sign up Henry for one more year, while Henry was breaking down giving his speech. Legend.

Super cool
Wish the statues had been there in August, when I visited. I guess I’ll just have to go back to North London…
The Thierry Henry statue was exactly what I hoped it would be.

It looks weird as a statue to me
I wish they’d done “absolutely saveable, absolutely magnificent”, the moment when the ball left his foot.
the statue is a dig on tottenham. I say keep it.

Agreed
If it wasn’t going to be a statue of the moment the ball left his right foot against United back in 2000, it had to be this.

Henry
Legend doesn’t even do it for me in my eyes. I know understand it when I see Argentinians worship to Maradona. Henry is like to to me.
Here’s the unveiling of the statue:

Two things:
1. I’ve met famous people before and handled it pretty well; if I were ever to meet Thierry Henry, I would LOSE MY SHIT.
2. Peter Hilll-Wood has the most aristocratic voice I have ever heard.
