Chuck Norris doesn't need a bat.
he just roundhouse kicks the ball out of the park.

my feed is so blurry
Hard to tell who’s who. Even Arshavin looks tall enough to be a human.

no card?
For a tackle from behind to be that purposeful, I’m surprised he didn’t see yellow

The rulebook
Given to refs assigned to arsenal games must have a section encouraging lenience for the opposition’s strategy of “getting up at ’em” and “kicking ‘em to let ’em know they’re in for a tussle.”
go gunners!

Denilson can kindly leave the field now.
WHAT IS HE DOING??
Dont be so sure
fabianski remains on our roster despite scads of howlers last year. Wenger watched alex song become very good after some poor performances. I dont think he can bear to kill the potential of his beloved young talents he finds.
Ah shitburgers
finish

gah
took that in too quickly. Good link up. Man U is putting Bolton under. They’re going to get one before the half

Man U have managed like 2 shots, and Bolton has dominated possesion
If anything, they’re lucky to be level

52-48 possession in favor of Man U and they’ve had 6 shots

Hey Sky Sports announcer
We HAVE the goalie, center back and holding midfielder. They are all hurt.
denied him a chance to go forward, way late, knew exactly what he was doing
definitely a yellow
good turn by RVP

What a fucking joke
Yeah, let’s put the 5’10 Ramsey on Steven Reid, then look confused when he powers it in the back of the net.
Let’s aimlessly cross it for the fucking 5’7 Arshavin.
Ramsey has been non existent. Except when he missed the ball and let Steven Reid head it, and when he missed from 3 yards.
Wilshere hasn’t been involved. I wish Denilson hadn’t been either. Sagna and Clichy are clueless, Arshavin and Nasri little better.
Squeezed to Song and Bendtner and Song and Nasri oh lovely lovely lovely!
-Peter Drury, the one time his commentating has ever been acceptable.
I hate to say it
But we need some leadership here — from wenger or someone on the pitch — to get fired up and play the second half with the urgency, passion and importance the circumstances demand — in the thick of the title race with a handful of games to go.
Fuck leadership
We need someone who actually knows what they’re doing. Having leadership isn’t going to change that.

West Brom are defending deep and narrow
like all teams do against Arsenal.
Without Cesc and Theo, we resort to lumping it in to the mixer.
They’ll play on the counter, and Odimwingie can jog past Squillaci and Koscielny

Denilson off for Chamakh
Hard not to appreciate that change

Hahahhaha. That’s just ridiculous, Almunia.

Haha
Fabianski is terrible. He doesnt count. Alumnia, as we just saw, is not a title winning gk. Scz had not played a minute in the EPL in august. And no way we had four in jan. Who are you counting?
I think Szczesny and Fabianski were fine this year until they both got hurt.
If any team had injuries to their top two keepers, they’d be in trouble, no?
by Ted Harwood on Mar 19, 2011 12:30 PM EDT up reply actions
Fabianski
Is just not a top two gk for a title challenging side. He cost us points at home with a howlrr v newc, getting outjumped by an outfield player (albeit a tall one…still, gk can use hands!!). Szczesny had not played in august, and we were extremely fortunate he adjusted so well so quickly. Wenger cld not have known that, only hoped it. And hope is not a plan. Alas, it seems among wenger’s primary strategies – hope deni finally fulfills somr early potential, hope fabianski puts repeated hoelers behind him to play like in practice, etc
I understand what you're saying
but if he had gone and bought anyone else, and they got injured as our players have, we’d be right where we are now, too, no?
by Ted Harwood on Mar 19, 2011 12:38 PM EDT up reply actions
Ok, sure
We have had poor luck with injuries. As always. And injuries to players in positions we are and have been short for years now (def mid and gk – never really found worthy successor to jens).
I think Szczesny will be a worthy successor.
At least that’s my hope. Freak injury, though. :(
by Ted Harwood on Mar 19, 2011 12:58 PM EDT up reply actions
This is true
I really like him and think he could own the position for a decade. But I am not sure it we made the right decisions in august. We got realky really luck woj settled in so well. And equally unlucky with the injury.
Fabianski made one mistake against Newcastle, yes
But if you remember, he won the game for us against Wolves, Everton and did very very well against City
Squeezed to Song and Bendtner and Song and Nasri oh lovely lovely lovely!

Horrendous
This central defense is going to be unwatchable for the run-in. We might not qualify for CL.
THAT'S RIGHT, Kenny Wheaton you did. You cut back into GREATNESS.
Shocker
Glad I wrote this season off after that Carling Cup disaster, makes this easier to take.
Well this place has certainly lost all perspective.
This is a good team, in a bad run of form that got injured. We don’t need a new goalkeeper, we don’t need to go spend spend spend on anyone. Yes, we are all disappointed that it looks like we are going to go trophyless again. But I’d rather be in this position rather than be Chelsea or Liverpool.

Thanks, Ted
I get really frustrated when our own fans fall into the media narrative of “Arsenal just don’t have it.” Whatever the hell “it” is.
When they show up, with a week to get focused, against the 17th place team in the league and play that terribly for 70 minutes it is very tempting to say they “just don’t have it.”
I hate to say I agree
Esp when this keeps repeating – last year with wigan, our fading in 07-08. We keep making it to march or april right in contention, but then tend to fluff it up. Snd oft eith terrible goalkeeping – fabianski at wigan, manuel today.
That's kind of what I'd expect from a team dealing with as many injuries as us.

As many? To all their top players?
Is jack the only one who hasn’t been injured this year? Andrei?

I was thinking Bolton 2008, but we couldn’t get the penalty call this time. Maybe if we’d worn the red and blue hoops shirt lol.
Hmmmm...
WBA: 10 fouls, 1 yellow
Arsenal: 7 fouls, 3 yellows

Great last 20 minutes
But WBA tired. Still some problems, but a great comeback.
Time for Jens.
Maybe it was a pen at the end. I didn’t see the replay

Agree on pen
Cannot tell at full speed whether that was a trip ot a bit of theatrics from sagna. He is not normally the type, but he may have embellished minimal contact
