Excellent
Back to our aimless crosses into the box, populated with one or no arsenal players, strategy.
And the execrable kevin davies
Suggests it was a dive. What an ass. Muamba came in hard and late on Fab’s ankle from behind.
We're clueless
Squeezed to Song and Bendtner and Song and Nasri oh lovely lovely lovely!
-Peter Drury, the one time his commentating has ever been acceptable.
If we don't pick it up soon, we could be around 4th or 5th
I mean, if we play like this we’re not gonna beat United.
We won’t beat Stoke either.

If we keep playing like this
we wont beat anyone

How can sturridge not see yellow
For abusing the ref like that? Shld also have seen yellow for playing past the offside whistle in the first half. And again for his dive in the 46th min.
or Nasri needed to actually hit it and not flub it

Took long enough.

We didn't get as close to the title as we were without being good
We just don’t have any mental strength at all.

mental strength isn't what keeps us from scoring
when team after team park the bus and counter.
They don't believe they can score or hang on
and when you don’t believe you can, you usually don’t.

or they don't have any idea what to do
How many times have we passed the ball around their box for a minute or two before giving up possession without even getting a shot off?
and after we bring on Chamakh, we stop crossing

we just have no idea what to do against teams like Bolton
I think we have a better chance of beating United than Stoke in the next couple weeks, because United won’t pack it in.
They did last time.
I seem to remember them playing like 3 LBs.
But I don't think the players think they can beat United.
The game at OT summed up their attitude perfectly: scared, can’t win. (Whereas United knew they could play poorly, still nick one, and get a soft pen as usual.)

Nah
United will copy teams like Bolton, Liverpool, Blackburn and Sunderland.
And they’ll win on the counter.

But there have been plenty of other times when they have been able to pass through
a packed defense. They just can’t do it under pressure.

they've done it before, but 'plenty'?
Almost every loss or draw down the stretch was against the exact same strategy
Not in the back half of the season.
Not when there is less pressure. But we do it in the fall all the time (except November).

I dunno about that
We had a pretty depressing one at the end of 2008-9.

And that sums up crunch time
of Arsenal’s last 5 seasons.

We need serious changes for next year.
I’ll be feeling optimistic again by July, but at this point I’m almost starting to see reason in the fire Arsene Wenger movement, almost.
I think it all depends on what you consider success.
Example: not qualifying for the CL would be a disaster.

we might be looking at 4th, but I think (hope) we're far enough ahead not to lose even that
to Tottenham. That would be armageddon.
Eight points ahead of City, but they have two games in hand.

9 points ahead of Spurs, in 5th who have a game in hand
Let’s hope they lose to Chelsea and City.

Our friends at CFC were discussing when they will have a heartbreaking collapse.

That's true
We may be good at this choke thing, but Spurs and City are even better

I consider the last 6 years to have delivered what was expected, but I still want more.
I’m glad that the club is stable, always competes and is in every competition possible, but damn if just once I wouldn’t like to be the best.
Either way it is better than my support for Leicester who hop divisions every 2 years.
Fans always want more.
Just it is harder to deliver than that. If you have to get on Wenger, it is the fact that he doesn’t seem to realize that you can’t recreate the invincibles with teenagers. He needs to swallow his pride and sign the big name to shore up this team. There is a solid core, but there isn’t enough cover.
I think this is my basic gripe
It takes him too long to realize things are not working.
Also the total lack of accountability is really annoying. These are adults and they should be treated as such: if they screw up massively for the umpteenth time, you need to lay the blame where it belongs.

I'm sure he'll moan
about the pen we should’ve had for Walcott and the Davies’ challenges, and he’s right, but he’s missing the point.
Bolton score 2 from 4 corners.
We have 11 corners and have no goals from it.

sign Mertesacker and a viable second striker imo
and ship out the dead weight
His name gets thrown around quite a bit on transfer rumours with us and others.
He’s one of a number of young defenders that gets tossed around every transfer window with Hummels, Sakho, Vertonghen, Cahill, Fazio etc.
I watch the Bundesliga a lot.
Hummels & Subotic are Dortmund’s CB pairing.

Big delay on this but massive physiology pun failure:
Sub = low, beneath
Otic = of the ear
“How did you hear about this one?”
Whoops
that went way over my head. Like a Wayne Rooney penalty against Szczesny.

what the hell has happened to Chamakh!?

Regular playing time is really important for some player's form
Chamakh seems to be poster child
