Around SBN: Will Rhymes 'Fine' After Being Hit By Pitch And Fainting

He "asked to be rested". Good for him, and good for Arsenal.

Huzzah!

Good news for us, I wonder what changed his mind?

Science!

he now feels he is not in the best condition to take part in the finals. That is based on the number of games he has played for Arsenal this season, sports science data which Jack was presented with last week and concerns he has for his fitness looking ahead to next season.

So Arsenal made their case, and he took their advice. The system works!

When I visualize that scene, I see Jack with his eyes taped open watching hours and hours of footage showing nothing but players tearing up their knees and shredding their leg muscles.

I just see Arsene standing in front of a screen with a laser pointer

Going on and on about scientific studies and statistics about injuries, Jack not comprehending any of it.

Jack: So what does all this mean?
Arsene: If you play in the U21s, you will break yourself, lose your place in the team like Aaron did, and be forced to sit on the bench with Eboue and Arshavin
Jack: Oh dear God if Eboue tries to hug me one more time I’ll go mental. Sitting on a beach for a couple months doesn’t sound so bad now
Arsene: I’m glad you came to that conclusion on your own
