and i realized that fabregas played a part in all of them.  we are in big trouble loosing our most creative player.  I feel bad for AW, he probably really believed in cesc, and certainly built this team around his creativity.  granted AW certainly could have made some improvements to the team in the past few seasons to convince certain players to stay, but cesc leaving has put AW and the team in a poor position. 

with that said, cesc can't be replaced.  hazard cant play like cesc, mata was never going to be like cesc, and no one else we have been linked to plays like cesc (pass first great vision looking to create for others).  this doesnt mean we cant add quality and depth to improve the outlook of our season.  I have simply come to the realization that this team will never again have that same flow of teams past. 

perhaps little jack can play a similar role, but it will be a different type of creativity.

here are my personal team goals (oxymoron?) for this season: finish 4th and qualify for CL (this is a tough but realistic goal and would be a success for this team regardless of who comes in or not in the next few days)  Get out of group in CL (simple enough, maybe one knockout round win?) Compete for one of the cups (this team could realisticly make a carling cup run since many teams don't try and we play all our reserves anyway so they will have plenty of experience)
