Arsenal link roundup for Sunday, September 11
Good morning, everyone. Not the most destructive victory yesterday, but under the circumstances, and luck on our side for once, it's three points that everyone should be happy to have.
Here are some links for y'all to chew on:

A win is a win, unless you are Arsenal [A Cultured Left Foot]
Mikel Arteta shone of the new boys, Per Mertesacker was solid enough but caught out a couple of times by the pace of the Premier League. This morning saw the criticism of him stoop to baffling levels, his abilities dismissed because no big clubs came in for him. The Spaniard’s passing provided "technical security" according to the manager and looks a promising basis for a partnership with Wilshere’s guile. That was something that Yossi Benayoun brought when he came on for Arshavin. Wenger will not have been disappointed in any of the debutants performances.

It's not often that I'll agree with anything Paul Hayward says, and while I think he's off on a lot here, the basic premise I find intriguing:

Mertesacker was "caught out by the pace of the Premier League."
When exactly did this happen again? I didn’t see Mertesacker struggle with the pace of the game at all yesterday…

For the English press, being French is all that's needed.

don't care
that’s one of the best quotes I’ve ever read from a head coach/manager ever. And it is oozing with Wenger. (NOTE: If you are ever oozing with Wenger, seek immediate medical attention)

I disagree - some situations call for more drastic action:

True Story:
Closest I’ve ever come to being thrown out of a movie was opening night of the 1st TMNT. Something about a slip-n-slide made from several spilled cups of probably Mountain Dew.

And.... Ramsey is out for the Dortmund match
Should we follow a lot of fans in finding someone to blame? Say Colin Lewin, he seems like someone who is the direct cause of our injury problems…(I can’t remember the sarcasm font, but yes I am being sarcastic)
