really?

what’s their email address?

by Loose Seal on Sep 20, 2011 2:57 PM EDT up reply actions

I don't know but it might be on the homepage somewhere

I don’t think they gave it out unless it was during the pre-show.

Captain, there are doubt's...

Over at Royals Review we took exception to something an announcer said

so a bunch of us emailed the booth with a question, and they read the email later in the game, declaring that they had been “ambushed” by 5 different emails from 5 different cities with the same question at the same time. that was fun.

lol

more defensive mistakes

Pathetic.

I’m at the point where if we keep Jack Wilshere, Robin Van Persie, and Theo Walcott past January I’ll be happy.

Djourou

Anyone feel Djourou has regressed TREMENDOUSLY since his injury? He seemed pretty stout last year

Tony Gonzalez? University of California?

I don’t want into hyperbole, but he’s approaching sebastien squillaci levels.

I can see that. His form was adequate (at worst) and probably fairly good prior to the shoulder injury. Now he’s… bad.

Why not?

I won’t be able to follow Arsenal in the championship!!!! (if it comes to that)

by Sabrina Dessipe on Sep 20, 2011 3:09 PM EDT up reply actions

not sure!

it’s been a real problem all year. our pressing game is non-existent.

by Ted Harwood on Sep 20, 2011 3:10 PM EDT up reply actions

There was some decent pressure from Swansea, for the lot of good it did them. One wonders if they really have lost confidence this year and have just stopped listening to Wenger and Co. Of course, this is the B Team – they have every reason to push so that they may get first team. Makes no sense.

by Learn2Leaf on Sep 20, 2011 3:21 PM EDT up reply actions

Sounds like Djourou being Djourou again

Give him the captains armband and watch him watch the ball go in the back of his own goal.

so we're losing to a fourth division team

typical just typical

Chuck Norris doesn't need a bat.

he just roundhouse kicks the ball out of the park.

IF I WAS FREAKING OUT IT WOULD HAVE LOOKED LIKE THIS

How’d we give up the first goal?

Djourou being Djourou

from what I gathered

Chuck Norris doesn't need a bat.

he just roundhouse kicks the ball out of the park.

figures, his injury pretty much killed any form that he had

any idea if he should be deployed as a defensive MF? Seems his brain farts would hurt less as a DM vs on the last line of defense as CB.

Tony Gonzalez? University of California?

by ikoolykedat on Sep 20, 2011 3:25 PM EDT up reply actions

I'd rather not have brain farts anywhere on the pitch

when it comes down to it, I think they can hurt anywhere when the team is defending (e.g. Denilson)

they haven't really said

but I’d guess that we were, since we never do anything else.

Not pressing in combination with that would seem to explain why Shrewsbury keep getting chances, maybe…

United clowning poor Leeds, 3-0. Giggs had a crazy goal just before half.

by Tizoc on Sep 20, 2011 3:36 PM EDT reply actions

Better yet, three goals on three shots on target. 100% finishing from Man U.

Makes me wonder if the true failure of Wenger’s youth policy isn’t that the youth can’t do it, but that they just don’t have a greybeard like Giggs in the side who, while past his prime, can just step in, settle the boys and be a leader on the field in these types of games.

Of course, Man Utd also are fielding Carrick, Berbatov, Park, Valencia and Mancheda who have all seen first team.

Maybe it's just time to get a single owner, instead of a battle between Kronke and Usmanov

Honestly, I think Usmanov would show more ambition for this team than Kronke is, we haven’t heard anything from him, well, ever…

by UMDfutbol11 on Sep 20, 2011 3:41 PM EDT up reply actions

Battle or not

the idea is that it won’t be their own personal cash that the club relies on. Doesn’t make a difference who owns or controls the team.

Captain, there are doubt's...

by Match Day 5 on Sep 20, 2011 3:44 PM EDT up reply actions

isn’t there only one owner—officially? Does Usmanov even have enough shares to see the financial statements? He seems to have an EXTREMELY shady past and I’m not sure we want to go down that path.

Tony Gonzalez? University of California?

by ikoolykedat on Sep 20, 2011 3:45 PM EDT up reply actions

I don’t think Usmanov has enough shares to see any financial reports, his share is 27%, I don’t know what the actual percentage (anyone? anyone?) needs to be to see financial reports, but I do know that Usmanov was much more vocal about Kronke’s decision to buy out two members shares that Kronke was, Kronke issued a statement explaining the takeover, and that’s been it, nothing since. I haven’t heard anything about Usmanov’s past, if it’s shady or not, I do know that he’s in Russian oil and gas, as usual… But still, as an owner, no matter who you are, your team is an investment, and you do need to put money into it regardless. It doesn’t have to be Sheik Manseur money, or Abramovich money, but even just a little help, like killing some of the Emirates Stadium debt would help.

I would imagine any shareholder can see the reports, right?

I’m terrible at econ/business-y stuff, but isn’t that what being a shareholder means? you get reports and stuff?

by Ted Harwood on Sep 20, 2011 3:53 PM EDT up reply actions

According to this Guardian article, he needs 30% to see all financial details.

So...

You need 30% to see financial details, but once you cross 28%, you have to make a formal takeover bid? What kind of sense is that? lol
