Ryo Miyaichi on loan to Bolton

see ya next year

Arsenal youngster has gone on a season-long loan to Bolton, according to various sources (including Young Guns and Arseblog). According to Jamie Sanderson's tweet, Miyaichi will not be eligible to play against Arsenal in tomorrow's match for Bolton (which honestly he probably wouldn't have anyway, but still).

Miyaichi has made only two first team appearances for Arsenal this year, both in the Carling Cup. He's also started fairly regularly in the reserves side, but has been inconsistent there and has failed to break back into the first team in the way fellow young winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has. Miyaichi follows in the footsteps of Jack Wilshere (RIP) who was also loaned to Owen Coyle's side in January of 2010 (and hopefully he'll also follow in his footsteps in regards to the next year of his career, but maybe not the year after that).

Star-divide

This is a good move for the youngster, who really probably needs consistent first team football to properly develop as a player. The reserve team isn't quite the same thing, and after impressing at Feyenoord last year but then losing momentum after an injury this year, this might be just the prescription Ryo needs to get back on track. Bolton face Chelsea, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur still this year, so Miyaichi may get to play against some stern competition; either way, the Premier League is a whole different monster than the Eredivisie, so we'll see if he can handle it yet (and the pressure of a relegation battle).

Miyaichi joins Emmanuel Frimpong and Niklas Bendtner in the ranks of Arsenal players on loan with Premier League teams.

Hopefully his time there is as productive as Wilshere's was

I really hope Ryo gets real good up there, because I like him a lot. Lots of talent.

I think we all saw this coming

Great news. Hopefully he becomes a permanent fixture of the first team next season

Hope he keeps Bolton from getting relegated

I’d rather not see them go down. I like Holden, among others. But I might be biased because I picked them for my career mode in Fifa 12 (I went to Arsenal in player mode by way of Columbus Crew and Fulham). At this point, I have a full future of ridiculous youngsters, as well as Fabregas.

I'd like to know more about the Cahill situation now.

Obviously, the bridges haven’ t been burned. Was it, “Sorry Arsene, but I really think we can get more for him”? Or does Arsene think they’re just really naive?

Captain, there are doubt''s...

Arsene isn't going to hold a grudge if it doesn't benefit him in any way.

We can hate United because frankly we’re not going to do much business with them. Bolton on the other hand is the type of club we probably will do business with.

I said it when Chelsea had an offer for Cahill accepted. It really is ridiculous that we bid about the same and got ridiculed for it but Chelsea did six months later and got it accepted without a word. That said I think it was mostly just Bolton being naive and overpricing their player.
