Arsenal complete signing of German U19 international attacking midfielder Thomas Eisfeld

As thought yesterday, Arsenal have finalized the signing of German attacking midfielder Thomas Eisfeld from Borussia Dortmund.

Arsenal Vision has put together a pretty nice little video of Eisfeld in action for you to check out. He may have the skillset in place to be a big help in an advance playmaking role, although obviously a video compilation is not evidence of his abilities relative to the Premier League. He's also only 19. Time will tell if he can develop into something resembling the kind of passer and creative force Arsenal have lacked since last year.

For now, Ice Rink will probably play mostly with the reserves, although he trained with the first team today. He may not offer the immediate help many supporters have been clamoring for, but if he offers even a little bit of help, he can easily justify the 600,000 pounds Arsenal ended up reportedly shelling out on him.
