Podolski plans to leave Cologne this summer
Disappointed by "broken promises", Podolski plans to move abroad, and odds are that Arsenal and Wenger are going to be more than interested. Hopefully we don't low ball this one...

I'd take him
But it depends on the price. I would very much prefer a Hazard. Or if Park got some time.
I’d personally value Podolski somewhere between 12 to 15 million. Seems a very Wengerish sum. Although, Arsene did completely reject any rumored interest in him when these rumors made the rounds earlier this year. I don’t know if that was based on Podolski as a player or being under contract but it puts a damper on things.
This team will be the death of me.
Maybe
I just feel that we can do better for the same type of money.
Arteta, it's all about the right pass it goes left to the left foot of VAN PERSIE

I don't know about the same type of money...
But there’s definitely better options out there at striker, like oh say, the one we current have now (just get it done damnit)

I’ve seen the bloke once or twice and he scored that peach in the carling cup but there is no way im taking him over podolski if i get a choice.
This team will be the death of me.
it's not about who you'd rather take
We bought Park, and then promptly left him on the bench for eternity when he could have been a starter playing regular games for Lille. That is just not right, and I vicariously feel like an asshole because Arsenal has done this to him.

I can't envision a scenario where he's is actually really good and deserving of playing time
and Wenger saying, “Meh.”
There seem to be many more plausible scenarios other than trying to ruin his career.
Captain, there are doubt''s...
I don't think Arsene is trying to ruin his career
I think that the timely introduction of Henry on loan though, severely limited any chance he had to play with Chamakh gone.
And seriously, what has Chamakh done to warrant playing time that Park doesn’t?

I probably read a little too much animosity in what you originally wrote
so I’ll take that back.
I’m just reminded of that analysis of Nasri from last summer (A Cultured Left Foot?) where they showed how much difficulty he was having trying to play Cesc’s role. Arsenal’s style of play is really precise and coordinated at every position. It’s not plug-and-play. Some pick up on it quick, some don’t.
This may not even be the case, but either way, I don’t think it’s something to get to worked up over.
