The good News: Arsenal were in 4th place at the beginning of the weekends' games.

The bad news: Arsenal have the toughest remaining schedule of the four teams competing for 4th.

This chart sums up the remaining fixtures for Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle and Liverpool.

So, yeah, not pretty for the Gunners...for now. However, after this weekend, with Arsenal playing 53 point Spuds, and Chelsea and Newcastle playing 20 point Bolton and 21 point Wolves, respectively, the numbers will be reversed, with Arsenal's opponents average points at 33.3 and Chelsea's and Newcastle's at 34.5.

Also, Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Chelsea all still play each other again, so there are six "six-pointers" remaining.

And everybody get to play Wigan....poor Wigan! I really hope we get to see Roberto Martinez in the EPL for another season, but it's not looking good for them right now.
