Robin van Persie nearing another record
Yeah, I screwed up. Sorry guys. RvP has 31 goals in all competitions, not in just the league. Please don't banish me. That said, he does have 25 now.
The record is 31 for a league schedule of 38 games. That is shared between Alan Shearer and Cristiano Ronaldo. The over all record is 34 with 42 games. Both are within reach of van Persie. A mere 6 goals will get Robin tied, while another 3 will tie the other record. RvP has 11 games. What are the odds? Well, considering his current form, I would say that they are pretty good. There won't be any other games for the team to focus on. The team is coming off a ten point February, and just started March with a stolen 3 points from Anfield and Liverpool FC. Those last eleven games also include a match against some lower table teams, so goals will be likely. Mark my words, we are experiencing history as it is being made.
