An old Klingon proverb says "better late than never," and in that spirit I bring you this, the ninth episode of the podcast Fusillade, by those that bring you The Short Fuse. This week we revel in the two superbly weird victories perpetrated by the Arsenal in the past week, as well as some other stuff.
It's fun, I swear. Because winning is fun, even when you really don't win. Makes sense, right?
So yeah. Mostly we talk about the Milan game - tactically how it happened, and how a lot of it stemmed from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain until he got sick and hurt and had to leave the game. I compare him to a legendary footballer, but then partway through it decide not to and then NEVER REVEAL WHO IT WAS. If you can guess, you get one piece of sugarless candy. Many will enter, few will win.
There's also a bit of discussion of the Liverpool heist, and what that (plus the Milan game) say about the team and their chances for the rest of the season. SPOILER: it's mostly good stuff.
Also I mix up West Brom and Wigan again. I'd like to think that's endearing.
As always remember that if you have questions or comments, send them to fusilladecast@gmail.com, and one of these days we'll have time to actually answer some. Now that we're only in the league, I predict that time will come soon. Leave your name (whatever you want us to call you, whether it's your SB Nation handle or your actual name) so I don't have to make one up.
