Why the FA will not take any retrospective action on Balotelli's tackle

"Where at least one of the officials has seen the coming together of players retrospective action is not taken, regardless of whether they have seen the full extent of the challenge." So even if the tackle is worse than the official thought you cannot give retrospective punishment. This is the case even when it is obvious upon review that the action in question was extremely dangerous and reckless and worthy of a red card/ban. Nothing will be done about it. I'm disgusted by the FA's refusal to punish dangerous play based on a technicality. There's so much that could be said about how wrong this is. (ed. note: say it!) Done! More said HERE
