Tottenham are our rivals, I understand that, but I want to dig a bit deeper into the rivalry.

From what I understand (being a new fan circa '05) Spurs have many reasons to hate Arsenal.

- Arsenal moved north of the river a long time ago into their territory becoming local rivals in London.

- Arsenal became a very successful and winning club, especially in the Arsene Wenger era. Spurs are not that.

- Arsenal are a big club with legendary players, a nice new stadium and worldwide recognition and fanbase. No for Spurs.

- Arsenal have dominated Spurs on the pitch (maybe not as much in the past two seasons though)

So there are the facts as I understand them. (probably missed some, let me know)

I get why Spurs hate us, but why do we hate them?

I guess my point would have to be: I would rather Chelski miss out on the Champions league then Spurs.

When i think of the teams in the EPL that I don't like it goes Chelski , City, United, Liverpool, And then Spurs.

Not saying I like them, just don't see them as as big of rivals as some of the other teams.

So please someone help me better understand why we as Arsenal fans should hate the little baby Spurs?
