I'm shamelessly stealing an idea from one of my favorite podcasts this week. At the end of NPR's Pop Culture Happy Hour, the hosts go around the table and answer the question "What's making you happy this week?" So, I'm asking you the same question: What's making you happy this week?

The happiest thing that has happened to me this week was my discovery at my local grocery store that, once again, it's Anderson Valley Summer Solstice time! If you've never had this beer, go find it. NOW. It's one of the three beers (along with Rogue's Hazelnut Brown Nectar and Deschutes' Jubelale) that I firmly believe will change your opinion of beer if you have never dipped your toes into the world of good beer. Summer Solstice tastes like liquid caramel, but it's got that little malty edge so that it doesn't overpower you with sweetness. It tastes like summer, and it's amazing. Get it in bottles, though - it's available in cans, but is kinda hit-and-miss flavor-wise in the can.
