According to David Ornstein of the BBC, a highly respected and reliable source, Montpellier striker Olivier Giroud has made a decision, and it is a fine one:
Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Giroud. Medical and other administrative procedures will be completed after Euro 2012 #bbcfootball #afc

The end of Euro 2012 is a little ways off, but this is very very good news. It's getting close to done, everyone. France Football also had a little blurb on the twitter about it earlier:
Olivier Giroud a choisi Arsenal ! ow.ly/bEn6y #transferts
— France Football (@francefootball) June 18, 2012
For those of you who don't read French, that means "Giroud has chosen Arsenal". There is no news yet about a final fee or wages or anything like that beyond the earlier-reported 12 million pounds, but for now, this is looking like a done deal, pending the medical. I know, I know, it's the silly season, and anything can happen, and Chelsea were rumored to be interested as well, but yeah. This sounds gooooood.
