Yep, you read that right.
As part of the Markus Liebherr Memorial Cup, Arsenal will play a round-robin tournament of 45-minute matches tomorrow against newly-promoted Southampton and RSC Anderlecht of Belgium. The matches are the first of the preseason, and thus will involve a lot of fringe players:
Arsène Wenger has named a young squad for the matches at St Mary’s, although the likes of Gervinho, Johan Djourou, Marouane Chamakh, Andre Santos, Francis Coquelin and Kieran Gibbs are all included in the 23-man squad.
None of the Club’s players who featured at Euro 2012 are in the travelling party as they are yet to return to training.
So, expect to see some familiar faces, but also expect to see these guys:
Tom Ice Rink! Kristoffer Olsson!
Guys! It's football! Arsenal are playing! They're back! It's on! (Actually, it's not--the matches won't be televised live, but there will be highlights later, and we'll tell you all about it!)
