Why we should go after Javi Martinez

Martinez, who always modeled himself on Patrick Vieira, has done such an immense job of copying his French hero that a year ago he was already in a small category of players who have the technical skills to fit in any league in Europe. Plus, he has the physical presence required to dominate in England or Germany.

This year he played mostly as a central defender so he is even more prepared to play in a defensive roll we still desperately need. That big gap that our midfielders leave to go and attack(right in front of the big four)aside from Arteta. Song,Ramsey,Frimpong, and the other 5 players we tried in that position would get caught out of position and very often Vermaelen or Kocielny would have to play higher to break up the attack and if they didn't get there fast enough well we saw what happened acres of space for the other teams(think the Man U game). Javi Martinez would be great next to Wilshere,Arteta,or Song let's just hope he really was that big of a Viera fan and we can convince him to come over to the Arsenal
