Arsenal travel north to Manchester to take on reigning champions Manchester City in what will surely be the toughest test so far this season for the Gunners. Here are the lineups:
City: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany (C), Lescott, Clichy, Garcia, Y. Toure, Silva, Sinclair, Dzeko, Aguero.
Subs: Pantilimon, Kolarov, Rodwell, Barry, Nastasic, Tevez, Balotelli.
Arsenal: Mannone, Jenkinson, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Gibbs, Diaby, Arteta (C), Cazorla, Ramsey, Gervinho, Podolski.
Subs: Martinez, Djourou, Santos, Coquelin, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Giroud.
Thomas Vermaelen is ill, so up steps Laurent Koscielny. Mikel Arteta will take the armband. Gervinho will get the nod starting at the top for Arsenal, flanked by Aaron Ramsey and Lukas Podolski, although Ramsey could drift behind the striker and Santi Cazorla could move out wide. Abou Diaby is going to have his hands full with Yaya, and Aguero and Dzeko will test Mert and Kos. It's gonna be a ride--one hell of a ride? I do not know, but a ride.
