It is a travesty that Mudd (and other refs) just laugh off most of Suarez's flops. A player is SUPPOSED to be punished for unsporting conduct when he flops because a flop is the intent to unfairly get an opposing player punished. As long as the flops are not punished, they will continue and as long as they continue, some of them will actually work (case in point against Mertesacker). Suarez is by no means the only one (Bale comes to mind) but my point stands. It is not humorous and it is not just pathetic and embarrassing, it affects the integrity of the game. I know it's not new, but the rules are in place to prevent it. Why isn't it being addressed?
