He beat the throw, but overslid the bag and was tagged out racing back to second. - Michael Regan
He's taking his DEENCH to Craven Cottage.
Arsenal announced today that Emmanuel Frimpong, he of dubious skills at elite-level soccer, is being loaned to Fulham for the rest of the season, in order to get him more regular first-team appearances. Frimp (I call him Frimp because it makes him sound like a Dr. Seuss character) just completed a six-week loan spell at Charlton, and apparently he enjoys being shuttled around like a library book.
I think I like Frimpong the personality more than I rate Frimpong the player; I hope he gets a ton of good experience there, and I hope that serves him well, but I'm not sure that his not being around is a huge loss to this team, even with its noted lack of depth at the moment. Maybe he'll become the player he is capable of while on loan, and he can come back and contribute; I hope for the best, but I'm not holding my breath. Still, I wish him luck at Craven Cottage and would like to use this opportunity to remind Arsene Wenger that subtraction isn't a good way to bolster squad depth.
