Welp.
Arsenal fell to Tottenham by a final of 2 - 1 today at White Hart Lane, two Spurs first half goals from Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon being the difference.
So, some observations:
--Arsenal's defenders are drunk right now. On both of Tottenham's goals, basic, basic defensive errors were committed. Per Mertesacker was slow to play Gareth Bale offside, Thomas Vermaelen was woefully out of position, Nach Monreal didn't track Bale.
--When Arsenal don't close down, their high line is a huge risk. Both of Spurs' goals in the first half were from through balls that the passer had all day to pick out under no pressure. No press + high line = death. Always.
--Arsenal's final ball needs to improve. Jack Wilshere had a number of passes not come off today, and Olivier Giroud's first touch often let him down.
--I don't dislike Aaron Ramsey at RB. He has energy, not a great cross, but. In a pinch, it's not horrible.
