Whoever runs Arsenal's video department is a genius, because practically everything they produce is gold. And they're opening up the world of intra-squad hi jinks in a big way. The last time we visited with the squad, Aaron Ramsey was the target of jest. This time, it's Lukas Podolski.
Evidently Podolski has a habit of making a weird sound at pretty much any time, in any situation, over and over again. It's so common that everyone in the squad, basically, knows about it and can reproduce it. So too do some of the fans, evidently. So basically this whole video is just that, and it's pretty funny. These guys seem to like each other a bunch, and have fun chirping each other. If you put stock into team camaraderie and chemistry having an effect on results (which I think is pretty dumb in some other sports, but in soccer makes sense so until it's disproved I'll go with it), this is pretty encouraging.
Also encouraging to fans of insanity is the fact that Lukas Podolski appears to be taking Andrei Arshavin's place as Arsenal's resident crazy person. The scene where he stands in a doorway shrieking "A-HA!" like five times is stirring. I imagine he lives in a home decorated like the set from Sprockets, where this plays on a loop, 24 hours a day.
A-HA!
