Off topic thread
Feel free to use this for any soccer related off topic topic (as in, something we don't have a thread for but not necessary a discussion on whaling or pop music). Anyway, I have two things. First, What's up with Eisfeld? Is he playing on the reserves? Is there a sub-reserve team that we play prospects on? I have heard nothing about him at all (good or bad). Also, I hardly care about Chelsea, but I can't help but think David Luis is an outside back or even a midfielder. Is he a center back soley because of his height? His attitude is all about attack and not defense. Thoughts?
Villarreal struggling, chance to snatch up Giuseppe Rossi?
With the Yellow Submarine struggling (as they usually do year after year to begin with...), they may not make it out of relegation form. In the event that they do drop to the Spanish 2nd level, whatever it's called, they'll probably have to sell off the majority of their first team players, most notably Giuseppe Rossi, the Italian/American striker. Barca and Milan before have failed to pick him up, but I think the battle for him will come this summer regardless of potential relegation for Villarreal. Given that we may lose RVP this summer, do you think it's worth a shot at him? My guess is his asking price will be somewhere around where we bought Arshavin for (16 mil.)
Affordable, young, exciting attacking midfielder ... and I think, cheap.
Giovanni Dos Santos. I'm not sure why he's not start for whatever teams he's on (I forgot, QPR? Tottenham?), but whenever I see him play for the Mexican National team he's awesome. I think he's better than Chicharito. I realize we need defenders more, but with the Russian Smurph's lost form, Walcott's inconsistency, Gervinho's lack of finishing and Dos Santos seems, to me, at least, to be a great buy. Discuss.
Happy Birthday, Arsenal!
Arsenal turns 125 on December 11. That was the day the very first match was played. It also happens to be my birthday. Yeah, I was born to cheer for this club. So, what do you guys think have been some of the best moments of this storied club history?

... or however it is spelled. I've only seen one game of his (U21 England vs Israel) but holy crap! Why isn't he starting for Arsenal (talk about a creative attacking mid)? When will we sell him? I thought this guy was awesome. Thoughts?
