Arsenal 3-2 Aston Villa: Comeback Sees Gunners Into 5th Round
0-1 Dunne 33'
0-2 Bent 45+1'
1-2 van Persie (pen) 54'
2-2 Walcott 56'
3-2 van Persie (pen) 61'
A flurry of 3 goals in 7 second half minutes from Arsenal erased a halftime 2-0 deficit and sent them into the 5th round of the FA Cup, where they will face either Middlesbrough or Sunderland. After 3 straight defeats in the Premier League, it was the kind of response Arsenal needed, and should bolster confidence before a very important month of February. The return of Mikel Arteta and Bacary Sagna should also help a thinning and tiring squad.

Arsenal will welcome Aston Villa to the Emirates tomorrow for a fourth round FA Cup match. It is a competition that Arsène Wenger has taken a few times in his tenure, with four wins and another final on his CV, and he will be looking to keep working on his fifth. His side, however, are struggling in January, losing all three of their league matches and beating Leeds United in a cup match courtesy of Thierry Henry's return.
Five questions with Aaron Campeau of 7500 to Holte
Ahead of Sunday's FA Cup 4th round clash with Aston Villa, Aaron Campeau of SBNation's Aston Villa blog 7500 to Holte was kind enough to answer some questions for us about his club and the match. Thanks much to Aaron! Here we go:
1.) New loanee Robbie Keane scored twice in his first full match for Villa against Wolves. Are you excited to have him? What does he offer to Villa alongside or in place of Darren Bent?
I think Robbie Keane is still a decent player and I'm glad he'll be around for a few months, but to say I'm excited would be a pretty serious overstatement. For one, he is an LA Galaxy player and his performing well makes me nervous for the coming MLS season. For another, he's leaving soon and though it's nice to get some production while he's here every goal is a reminder that with Villa's current austerity drive two months of the fifth best player on an MLS team is the best we can do.
Thierry Henry goal: reactions from the Arsenal internet
So. Thierry Henry scored on his return in Arsenal colors yesterday, as if you hadn't already watched the video a thousand times. For me, as I'm sure it was for most, it was a bit surreal; Henry, older, bearded, slightly more bulky and lumbering, waving his arms in the air, waiting. Then Song looks up, and Henry knows. He just knows, he sees Song's eyes look, and he moves. He sees the Leeds left back linger four yards behind his fellows, the ball rifles through, he moves his foot, cushions it away from his marker, and it's 2004. It's 2000. I'm sitting in my grubby college living room in Minneapolis. It's 2012 again, and Henry--the fan--is running, leaping along the byline in celebration, not the calm, almost arrogant affirmation of scoring in the midst of his first 226. This is disbelieving ecstasy, and it feels weird, but so great.
Go watch this video, which Arsenal have provided for free on the official club site. It's about as good a video as you'll see this year.

Arsenal 1-0 Leeds United: It Had To Happen
1-0 Henry 79'
Thierry Henry scored on his return as an Arsenal player to send Arsenal through to the 4th Round of the FA Cup. His goal was a flash of brilliance in a rather dull game, as Arsenal struggled to break down a very organised and defensive Leeds United side.
Arsenal started brightly, with Marouane Chamakh looking better in his first 5 minutes of 2012 than he did in the entirety of 2011. Unfortunately, he got no where near scoring, as he continually laid the ball off for others. Perhaps it was the sensible thing to do, and it is what he used to do at Bordeaux quite often, but he looks the shell of a player who was quite good at the beginning of his Arsenal career.

Arsenal welcome Leeds United (again) to the Emirates stadium for an FA Cup 3rd round match tomorrow. Last year, it took two cracks at the egg to get past this same club in the cup, and hopefully this year the players can spare themselves a trip to Leeds for a replay and take care of business on the first try. Leeds currently sit 8th in the Championship, a mere point out of the playoff spots, while Arsenal are fifth in the Premier League, one point behind fourth place.
But throw all of that out the window tomorrow. This is the FA Cup, and weird things can happen (remember Arsenal's visits to Leyton Orient and Leeds last year).
